Library News!

The library has already had over 1,000 book checkouts in the first month of school!! Last year there were 3800 total, so this is a wonderful improvement! I’m so happy and excited to see our library being used and loved!
We now have access to the online resources provided by the Folsom Public Library!
Just quickly I wanted to highlight a few non-fiction databases for you guys to take a peek at:
World Book Online: Comprehensive access to encyclopedia articles, web links, periodical articles, videos,            maps and more.
Middle Search Plus: Contains full text for more than 150 popular, middle school magazines, thousands of biographies, historical essays and student pamphlets, an image library, and more! Great for middle-school homework help.
Primary Search: Contains full text for more than 60 popular elementary school magazines and 100 student pamphlets, the American Heritage Children's Dictionary and an image library.
Most of these databases come with really great functions, like the ability to limit results by age, have the article read out loud (like an audio book), and will automatically generate MLA format citations. We’ll also have access to thousands of e-books and audio books!
Please let me know if you have any questions/ concerns/ comments that I can help with!
