Cordova High Construction Students Compete for State Championship
This May Cordova High students took first place in the Northern California Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange (SRBX) 30th Annual Jim Lambert Design/Build Competition at Consumes River College. This earned the Cordova students a birth in the first ever State Championship competition held on the east lawn of the State Capitol Grounds.
July 28th & 29th were two of the hottest days this making the competition a true test of skill and endurance. Over the two days teams worked on identical play houses which were donated to local charities. Although Cordova did not win the State Championship, the judges were clear; the Cordova team outscored all others in the safety categories.
