VIDEO: District wide after school program STEM Fair
The Folsom Cordova Unified School District has been integrating science, technology, engineering, and math, abbreviated as STEM into the After School Education and Safety(ASES) learning program for about a year and a half, with great student results.
This month an ASES STEM Expo Fair was held at Mills Middle School to showcase the work of students involved in the after school program. 200 students from nine different schools participated in this event, with more than 65 projects.
Community leaders volunteered as judges and helped organize the event. Judging was based on whether they had a provable question, a well developed hypothesis, the materials used, how the data was graphed, and other variables.
Students enjoyed the event and their projects were truly impressive. Click here to watch this video.
