IN THE NEWS: Folsom Telegraph highlights teacher and student honors
Folsom High School Computer Science Teacher Jean Cavanaugh won the 2017 Educator's Award, for Aspirations in Computing from the National Center for Women and Information Technology.
Cavanaugh is in her 21st year of teaching at Folsom High School and is credited with mentoring students to pursue STEM related fields in education, as well as other teachers in the computer science field.
Her student Medha Aiyah, a junior at Folsom High School has a passion for the STEM field. She received an honorable mention in the student competition.
