Parent Summit on Saturday: Create, Collaborate, Innovate
Parents are a crucial factor in the entire education equation.
Parents of students K-12 are invited to attend our next Parent Summit for Student Success. We will share information on resources available to students and families, and many ways to support student learning.
Sessions will include high impact topics like LCAP, TUPE tobacco use prevention education, ELA/ELD curriculum adoption and framework, Family Literacy, for which Michael Troyan of Barnes & Noble will provide a hands-on literacy session,
Community Readers, Latino Family Literacy Project, Raising a Reader & Early Childhood Education will also be presenting at the event.
We will share information about the Folsom Lake College and City of Rancho Cordova's Promise Program, a generous offer to Rancho Cordova graduates of free tuition.
The first 2016-17 Parent Summit will be on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 8:30 -11:30 a.m. at Rancho Cordova Elementary School, located at 2562 Chassella Way.
